Heaps and Bulbs

 

The series "Heaps and Bulbs" employs an ink and pastel on paper technique, limiting its colors to red, black and blue. The series is devoted to the life cycle, the bulb symbolizing the main life cycle. The bulbs mislead at times.

They appear like splashes of starlight, like ships emerging from the darkness, impressing upon the viewer the distance and strangeness of this world he is seeing; the viewer remains the lone satellite absorbing cosmic light signals.
